The poison of the past rears its ugly head.
It literally sickens me to my stomach. Shakes up my composure. Chokes me up with its bitter taste. Paralyzes me.
Why is the past repeating itself? Almost exactly a year later. I wonder, pray for some sort of answer. What karma am I incurring now? Still, an answer eludes me.

Got to finally have some quality time with a good friend who I hadn’t hung out with one on one all year. Laughed. Shared updates about our lives. Talked about the future and just life in general. An enjoyable dinner filled with laughs and good company.
